Degree & Certificate Options
In our Automotive Technology program, you will gain plenty of hands-on experience. For example, you will inspect, remove and replace various bearings, shafts, hubs, and seals associated with manual drivetrains and axles. You will diagnose, repair or replace clutches and verify proper operations. You will learn about suspension and braking systems.
In class, you’ll have the opportunity to diagnose, repair and verify proper operation
of engines, and test cooling systems and components as well as heating and air conditioning
systems. You will also inspect and repair vehicle wiring, connectors and circuit protection
devices, batteries, and starting and charging systems.
Automotive Technology, Associate of Applied Science
This two-year degree prepares you to service, diagnose, and repair modern vehicles using the latest diagnostic and undercar equipment.
Automotive Maintenance & Light Repair (MLR) One-year Certificate
This one-year certificate provides you with the opportunity to learn the maintenance and light repair (MLR) of modern vehicles as outlined by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Education Foundation.
